Getting started

From the first install to activating Clearyvo Pro.

Install

  • Everything in one: install the Site Toolkit plugin (Plugins → Add New, or upload the zip from its page here). All checkers are on at first; turn off what you do not need under Site Toolkit → Modules.
  • Only one checker: install its separate plugin. On its own it has its own menu item; with a second checker both move under one Site Toolkit menu.
  • Both: when Site Toolkit runs a checker, its separate plugin stays idle and can be removed. Settings and results are shared.

Read the Site Health Score

Site Toolkit → Site health combines the headline result of every checker you have run into one score from 0 to 100. Checkers that are switched off or not run yet are left out, so the score covers only what was measured. “Start here” points to the checker with the most to do. “How is the score calculated?” under the list explains each part.

A Safe Order

  • Make a backup (Site Backup or your host).
  • Find what takes space (Disk Space), then clean images, PDFs and the database (Media Cleanup, PDF Cleanup, Database Cleanup).
  • Fix links (Broken Links), then improve ALT texts and titles (Clearyvo SEO).
  • Check plugins, security and SSL (Plugin Health, Security Checker, SSL Checker).
  • Check what your pages send to third parties (Privacy Audit).

Install Clearyvo Pro

Step by step, for every Pro package: Install your Pro plugin.

  • Download the zip from your purchase e-mail and upload it under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  • Open Site Toolkit → Site health, scroll to License, paste the key and press Activate.
  • Set up alerts and your name for the reports under Site Toolkit → Pro settings.

Remove a Checker

Switch the module off, or deactivate and delete the separate plugin. Data is removed when the last plugin that uses it is deleted; files in a quarantine or backups are kept unless the readme says how to remove them too.
