Speed

Slow pages and the plugins that slow them down.

Download free 0.5.5 Download Site Toolkit free 0.12.2

Measures how long your server needs to build each page, with and without cache, what the browser has to download per plugin, and how real visitors experience the site.

Free

  • Server build time and visitor TTFB of every page, page cache detection
  • JS and CSS weight per plugin and theme
  • An optional plugin load-time profiler
  • Core Web Vitals from PageSpeed Insights and the Chrome UX Report

Free in full: Clearyvo Pro adds nothing to this checker.

Good to Know

  • Measured from your own server, so the network distance to visitors is not included.
  • Autoloaded options are shown by Database Cleanup, the server set-up by Hosting Checker.

Where to Get It

Available two ways: as the separate plugin Speed Audit, or as a module of the Site Toolkit plugin. They share settings and results.

WordPress 6.2, PHP 7.4. English interface.

How to Find What Slows Down Your WordPress Site

  1. Install the free Clearyvo Speed Audit plugin (WordPress.org or the Download page), or Site Toolkit and switch on Speed Audit under Site Toolkit → Modules.
  2. Open Speed Audit in the WordPress admin (under Site Toolkit when you use more than one checker) and run the check. It works in short steps, so it finishes on shared hosting and large sites too.
  3. Read the report. Nothing on the site changes until you tick an item and confirm.
  • Font Checker: How many fonts your pages download, and how fast they appear.
  • Admin Speed: Why the WordPress admin feels slow.
